Custom Cartography

The Trust for Public Land, 2008

Objective:

Develop images and information about newly-acquired project sites for public consumption in conjunction with CORE GIS. Includes Pilot Point Preserve, one of the last large (30-acre), privately owned, undeveloped parcels of land along the Kitsap County waterfront, now under protection.

Result:

Using client-provided data, created high-quality posters of newly acquired project sites for public display using hillshade backgrounds, multiple photos, and modern cartography techniques.

Hood Canal Coordinating Council, 2003–2008

Objective:

Create visualization of topography and hydrography of Hood Canal region.

Result:

Created custom slides, handouts, report graphics, t-shirt image, and poster-sized maps of Hood Canal region.

CognitiveTrader, 2009

Objective:

Create visualization of three climate variables and how they translate to county scale.

Result:

Created both topographical and county-delineated maps showing precipitation, maximum temperature, and minimum temperature.
