Protected Lands Database Creation

Objective:

Inventory current status of protected lands in three counties.

Result:

Compiled the protected lands databases for Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason counties into one master dataset using current parcel information and local knowledge of property, and assigned levels of protection based on a GAP (Gap Analysis Program, a scientific means of assessing to what extent native animal and plant species are being protected) schema. Combined results with terrestrial and aquatic species habitats to determine vulnerabilities.
